June 16, 1946 - September 6, 2012
It was on September 6, 2012, our beloved friend, Rosh Pinah Elder and brother in Messiah, Don Reeves, went to be with the LORD after a battle with leukemia. Don left an exemplary legacy of faith, godly actions, wisdom, generosity and victory for all who knew him. The word, mishpacha (family) was an important one for Don. He dearly loved his wife of 45 years, Priscilla, and his family while laboring tirelessly for his spiritual mishpacha at Rosh Pinah. Don was a servant among servants. He learned and then taught Hebrew, offered hospitality and counsel to many, made wise decisions as an Elder and faithfully oversaw congregational finances. Don was instrumental in the process of purchasing our congregational facility, hoping to 'zero out' our current mortgage as soon as possible. He was trustworthy and dependable.
Don and Priscilla have always been tender hearted towards fellow believers and in particular the believing community in Israel. Don spent over twenty years in the military. Significantly, Don was a faithful part of the LORD's army of praisers and worshipers at Rosh Pinah. We miss seeing his hands elevated to the Risen King in our sanctuary at Rosh Pinah. Yet, we are thankful to the LORD for the blessed memories we have of our brother, Don, and for the example he set for us all.
Dr. James "Don" Reeves, of Midwest City, was born June 16, 1946, and died Sept. 6, 2012. He was a retired Air Force Colonel of 23 years; elder at Rosh Pinah congregation; a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, his five children, eight grandchildren and two sisters.
