Public Demonstration of Faith
On Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Lake Arcadia six believers gave public testimony of their faith by participating in an immersion ceremony which we call "T’vilah" (to totally immerse). The immersion was an outward manifestation of the change inside their heart, having confessed Yeshua (Jesus) as LORD and having received His forgiveness for their sins by the complete work on the cross.
T’vilah is an illustration of being immersed in Messiah Yeshua (Romans 6/Galatians 3) when the individual’s status changes from that of "Tomeh" (unclean) to that of "Tahor" (clean). When an individual enter the waters, in a sense they are entering a womb and emerge a new person if you like, born anew or born again. Thus they have a new status. They are connected with Yeshua’s death and burial, the sacrifice of GOD’s only Son, claiming that sacrifice for forgiveness of sin. "So that just as through the glory of the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead, likewise we too might live a new life." Their coming out of the water is a manifestation that we share in the resurrection of the Messiah and can make claim to being born again to a new life in him!
